Coaching for Adolescents and Young adults
There is so much expected of our adolescents and young adults today. Not only are they encouraged to achieve academically, but we hope they will have strong relationships and friendships, be honourable global citizens and make a mark in the world. But for many young people, just being able to understand themselves, their emotions and how they function in the world, is the greater challenge. Teenage years are a time of great emotional as well as physical change, and the desire for independence, the need to experiment and to find out who they are, can be a tricky road to navigate. Moving from school to university can be an exhilarating time for young adults, but can also be overwhelming, adjusting to life outside the familiar confines of family and school.
Why have a coach?
Having a coach to explore issues with, to be fully heard and gently challenged, can have such a positive impact on wellbeing and mental health. Sessions are tailored to the young person’s needs but often explore:
Emotional regulation and literacy; addressing stress, anxiety and overwhelm; building confidence and resilience; relationships; thinking traps and intrusive thoughts; wellbeing; strengths and values; the comparison trap; social media and self-image; exams and life balance; motivation; tapping into joy; future planning

Transformational Life Coaching for Adults
There are so many different types of coach and coaching out there, each addressing different client needs. Finding the right coach for you is imperative, as the therapeutic relationship is so important in creating a safe space, allowing for deep work to take place. As a coach I recognise that what often holds us back isn’t our ability, our qualifications or our networks, but our deep-seated beliefs and mindset. These beliefs are often formed in childhood, and if left unchallenged, can stymie our ability to create the lives we so desire.
Coaching at a transformational level, digging deep to uncover each client’s story, we work together to identify and then challenge aspects of mindset, outdated beliefs and ‘script’. We hone in on values and strengths, and build a road map for the future. I use a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Transactional Analysis, NLP and Narrative Coaching. Core elements of my work include:
Mindset, communication styles and boundaries , anxiety, overwhelm and stress; relationships; Imposter syndrome; Procrastination; Unhelpful beliefs and behaviours; Social anxiety; Confidence; Balancing life and work; internal 'script'
